How many times have you told yourself an incorrect story based on limited information? This bad habit leads to unfavorable outcomes like making rash decisions or judging people prematurely.
It’s also a major reason for keeping too many of us small. When the chance for expansion presents itself, we often tell ourselves all of the things that could go wrong and ultimately believe in the probability of our failure.
The tendency to fill in the blanks is evidence of our discomfort with the unknown. We sparsely consume then aggressively assume. The next time you try to fill in all the details, only one thing needs to be remembered.
