During difficult periods, it can feel as if your life is in upheaval. Your very foundation feels compromised and it can be frustrating and disorienting.
However, we have to realize that the disruption may be in our best interests. Think about a garden. In preparation, the soil may be tilled in order to create fertile ground. It is only when the compacted soil is broken up that seeds can be planted. Not to mention that the tilling can also get rid of weeds.
When it comes to what you consider your foundation, does it leave room for expansion, or is it rigid and unyielding? Do your deepest beliefs allow for any progress? Is it possible that your core needs some shaking up?
