Whenever you share a story about yourself, stop to ask yourself the reason why. Examine the place from which the desire to divulge emerges.
The same story can be told in entirely different ways. Depending on your intention, it changes. Are you sharing to caution or encourage? To invoke sympathy or to inspire? Are you tied to the struggle or the triumph of your tale? Are you sharing to give or to get?
What you tell and how you tell it says a lot about who you really are in that moment.
