Bias is an expected aspect of human character. Very rare is the individual who holds no judgment about anything (I’ve never met one).
Bias is just a belief. But the only way to grow is to be able to challenge those beliefs and question the veracity. Remember, a belief is often just a personal perspective which doesn’t necessarily equate to truth.
Being afraid to challenge your own belief is an indication of its fragility. Somewhere inside, you already sense it has no foundation so you keep it safe by never examining it up close. Averting your eyes (and heart) allows unfounded bias to live.

In order to best ease another’s suffering, you must first be able to see things from their point of view. The skill of empathy precedes the offering of compassion.
Contrary to popular thought, empathy can be cultivated-but only if one is willing. That willingness is spirit-derived.
To mandate and legislate is important. But to elevate oneself is vital. Everything from pandemic restrictions to protests are calling for that elevation.
Why? Because that is the space from which lasting and meaningful contributions arise. Solutions borne from elsewhere are temporary at best.

In the age of COVID-19, life has changed drastically. People have had to restructure their lives in dramatic ways in no time at all. If asked only weeks ago, many would have thought themselves incapable of dealing with such dramatic changes. And yet…most have.
So give yourself credit for adapting no matter how elegantly or clumsily you find your way through. You’re displaying flexibility, ingenuity and resilience.
Just remember that this crisis didn’t create those characteristics. It was merely a catalyst to unearth what was already present.
Going forward, know that you have what it takes to deal with any changes you decide to initiate. The seeds of greatness are already within you.

The brain busily collects data through experience which could be firsthand or vicarious in nature. The mind will then weave a story around that data be
it accurate or erroneous. This comprises one’s knowledge base.
To act solely upon this information is premature. Why? Because it is devoid of a spiritual component. It has not yet been informed by the Divine part of your being.
When spirit is not considered, one’s beliefs and actions may be unempathetic, selfish and even cruel. In its absence, self-righteousness thrives.
The heart must vet all acquired knowledge as it is the soul’s instrument of refinement.
Tweet this: Knowledge requires the brain, but wisdom considers the heart.

Most people’s inboxes hold content they never formally signed up to receive. Because of a casual inquiry or a one time purchase, they’re steadily bombarded with related items in which they have no real interest. Instead of unsubscribing, the emails pile up over time taking up storage that could house more important things.
Now look at your life. How many things have you let into your space that you don’t need, don’t want but haven’t addressed head on to stop? Be mindful of what you subscribe to by default.
