Painful interactions can leave a void so deep that regaining wholeness seems impossible. But perhaps that type of excavation is ideal, in some respects.
Suppose a seed of hope is planted in this space. Maybe the vast emptiness creates the room for this seed to flourish and subsequently form the deepest, widest roots. Just maybe, it’s preparatory for something glorious to take hold.
