We hear the phrase “It’s not about you” and yet in most spaces of empowerment speak to self-care and honoring your desires. So, which one is it?
On the surface, it seems like a contradiction, but in truth, it’s not.
When you are self-serving, your decisions are at the expense of others.
When you’re soul-serving, your decisions elevate not only you, but the experience of all else involved.
It is about you. The real You.
You as a Divine soul navigating this life with the highest intentions…for all.
Tweet this: Self-serving behavior is singular. Soul-serving impacts the whole.

To be human is to often be drawn out of yourself. You can try to stay centered, but invariably some situation will pull you away.
From time to time, you’ll be weighted down by worry, overtaken by anger or seduced by egoic concerns. Many of us will berate ourselves for falling off the more conscious path.
But there is no shame in this. Like any other practice, we are gradually increasing our skill level.
We have to remember that there are two parts to this; one part is being aware and the other is coming back to awareness-the state and the reunion.
Tweet this: A lapse in awareness is simply an opportunity to choose it again.

You know those moments when you feel so full of life you could just burst? The buzz can stick around for a while and you feel invigorated.
We love to feel that sense of aliveness.
Unfortunately, we sometimes engage in destructive behavior that also feeds the fire. Anger, jealousy, even worry are fuels of a different nature. Or ever see someone light up when they’re participating in gossip? Watch how the energy spreads when others -or yourself- latch onto that energy.
These behaviors are poor substitutes for the engagement we seek.
Pay attention to how you’re feeding your own fire.

It’s easy to get caught up in the business of the day. The rules of survival dictate that we surrender to the matters at hand. While we hold very real responsibilities, if we give ourselves the space and time, we often discover that there are unaddressed needs buried beneath them.
When you remember and honor the truth of who you are, priorities shift and make room for your full intended expression.
Your most important work is to fall in line with the unique spark that has been placed within you. If you miss that, you miss life.

We often get used to looking at one thing in one way. We create personal narratives for how things are and how they should be. Our stances are often inflexible.
But we forget.
People have dimensions. Stories have dimensions. And, when we reduce either to the one narrative with which we’re comfortable, we miss the whole picture. We miss Truth.
We must remind ourselves that narrow-mindedness can not exist in the same space as growth.
Are you committed to truth or just your version of it?
